Welcome to FEANI
FEANI is a federation of professional engineers that unites national engineering associations from 32 European countries. Thus, FEANI represents the interests of over 3,5 million professional engineers in Europe. FEANI is striving for a single voice for the engineering profession in Europe and wants to affirm and develop the professional identity of engineers. Through its activities and services, especially with the attribution of the EUR ING professional title, FEANI aims to facilitate the mutual recognition of engineering qualifications in Europe and to strengthen the position, role and responsibility of engineers in society. The General Secretariat of FEANI, managing the activities of the federation, is located in Brussels since late 1997.

Second European Engineers' Day, 20 November 2014
Engineers’ impact is visible in every aspect of human life: through increasingly more sophisticated inventions, techniques and equipment they enhance and irrevocably change society. Professional Engineers design and operate large projects and make society a better place to live: their solutions are always designed with economic, safety and functionality considerations in mind. Sustainability of the environment and aging infrastructures, deployment of innovative renewable sources of energy, increased quality of life, economic growth: they all await and expect engineering solutions. Therefore, in this globalized world, internationalization and cross-border recognition of engineering qualifications are important and vital to forge a better future for society.
BEST EVENTS - Board of European Students of Technology
What is a BEST event for students? Throughout the year BEST organises different activities where students from member universities get the opportunity to increase their international experience, establish contacts, improve their English and have fun. Each BEST event is attended by 20-30 engineering students like you, who have something in common: they want to live a unique experience, different from day-to-day school life!
BEST events are organised throughout the whole year. There are Seasonal events such as BEST Courses, BEST Events on Education and BEST Leisure events. Moreover there are European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC), Local, National and Regional BEST Engineering Competitions. More information
FEANI ANNUAL REPORT 2012-2013
Why an engineerING card?
Mobility is important for Engineers, because of:
the demand for flexible deployment on an international basis and different availability of engineers across national borders.
Engineers and Employers require a tool that shows a comparable educational profile whose recognition is based on international standards.
The Engineering Card is already available in the following countries: Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic and Croatia.
It will be soon implemented in Portugal, Ireland, Slovenia, Macedonia, Luxemburg and Serbia, and in the future in the other 21 FEANI member countries.
EUR ING TITLE
The EUR ING title delivered by FEANI is designed as a guarantee of competence for professional engineers.
In order to facilitate the movement of practicing engineers within and outside the geographical area represented by FEANI's member countries and to establish a framework of mutual recognition of qualifications.
The EUR ING enables engineers who wish to practice outside their own country to carry with them a guarantee of competence which provides information about the various formation systems.
