Visit
Procedures
Any
superior, public or private educational establishment, susceptible to be
authorised to deliver engineer's title has to ask the CTI for “being entitled”,
according to the following procedure:
1.
The
establishment " having to be entitled " constitutes a file of demand
for accreditation, according to the directives and documents supplied by the
CTI.
2.
The
establishment sends a complete copy and two copies of the first part of the
file to the Clerk's Office of the CTI.
3.
The
CTI nominate reporters in charge of studying the demand.
4.
A
mission " in situ " is organised with the establishment allowing to
the reporters to scrutinise, on the spot, the educational project, to meet with
the direction and education team and to
visit the installations and the laboratories.
5.
After
this visit, in a date fixed by the CTI, the reporters present a report in front
of the plenary session of the CTI.
6.
The
CTI pronounces its advice either for opinion or for decision which is passed on
to the establishment, with some possible recommendations.
7.
The
accreditation is given for a maximal duration of six years, by the “Ministry of
Education” for the public establishments or directly by the CTI for the private
establishments.
Procedure for the periodic evaluation of the
training courses of engineers
According
to a cycle of six years, all the entitled training courses are subject to
evaluation by the CTI, according to the following procedure:
1.
The
CTI defines the list of the authorised training courses which are going to be
subjected to evaluation, and nominates reporters for each.
2.
The
CTI informs the concerned establishments, gives them the directives and
documents to be put in the file, and fixes the date of return of files.
3.
The
establishment sends a complete copy and two copies of the first part of the
