EUR-ACE A
decentralized European accreditation system of
engineering study programmes ENAEE
is engaged in launching. in accord with its General
Policy Statement and in collaboration with the EUR-ACE
Implementation and PRO-EAST
projects, the EUR-ACE European accreditation system of engineering
programmes. In
this system (described in detail in EUR-ACE
document A2) National Agencies accredit study programmes, as
they already do, and the EUR-ACE label, distinct into “EUR-ACE
Bachelor” and “EUR-ACE Master” can be added to the accreditation,
provided the Agency satisfies the EUR-ACE
Framework Standards. At
present, the Agencies authorized to award the EUR-ACE label are: ASIIN (DE)- Fachakkreditierungsagentur für
Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der
Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik e.V. CTI
(FR) - Commission des Titres
d'Ingénieurs ECUK
(UK) - Engineering Council UK Engineers Ireland
(IE) Ordem dos Engenheiros
(PT) Universities and other Higher Education Institutions, whose programmes are accredited by one of the above agencies and want also the EUR-ACE label, should contact the relevant Agency. Other
Institutions should contact the ENAEE Secretariat: their request
will be forwarded to one of the Agencies participating in the EUR-ACE
system. Accrediting
bodies interested in joining the system should check that their rules
fulfil the EUR-ACE
Framework Standards, consult the documents ENAEE Standards
and Guidelines for Accreditation Agencies and Application Form
for Accreditation Agencies, and contact the ENAEE Secretariat. Further
information can be obtained also from the Secretariat of the EUR-ACE
Label Committee.
